Recently, SentriForce received a video investigation request from an apartment community manager to find the event when property damage occurred regarding the entry and exit gate of the apartment community.

The client gave us the approximate timeframe of when the incident may have occurred.

The SentriForce Video Investigation team began to work the case, but was not expecting how strange and comical this incident would be.

Mom always said if something is worth doing, it’s worth doing right!

Incident Description:

On 10/20/2020 at 2:38 PM, a silver hatchback approached the exit gate and hit the gate before it opened, knocking it off its tracks.

The license plate information was captured.

The hatchback then reversed and eventually exited through the entrance gate after failing to force the gate to open.

20 minutes later, while the exit gate was being fixed the silver hatchback returned to the property.

The vehicle approached the entrance gate as it was closing and hit the gate in the process, knocking it off its tracks.

The driver was questioned and claimed it was not their fault, but the vehicle in front of it.

Eventually, the apartment community staff unknowingly open the damaged exit gate that was caused by this vehicle.

End of Incident Description.

This driver struck both the exit and entry gate in the same fashion within half an hour…

On top of that, the driver struck the entry gate in front of the apartment community staff while the exit gate was under repair and claimed it was not their fault!

This incident has definitely made the top 5 strangest incidents in our book, that’s for sure.

Thankfully, with video evidence the apartment community manager will be able to hold the driver fully liable for the property damages that was incurred and recover the gate repair costs.
