Attempted Construction Site Break-in

On February 16 at 7:22 PM, an unauthorized individual appears in camera view.

SentriForce Central Station observed a unidentified suspect attempting to pick a lock to a gate and break-in to a construction site.

SentriForce Central Station engaged audible alarms and strobe lights on the suspect.

The suspect is observed leaving the property.

Overall Site Security Plan

Live video monitoring plays a big part in an overall site security plan.

As seen in this video, a perimeter defense such as a gate was able to slow down the suspect from successfully breaking into the restricted construction jobsite. Paired with live video monitoring surveillance, the suspect was engaged with alarms and voice broadcast prompting the suspect to modify their behavior and leave the construction property.

Without a perimeter defense the suspect could have made their way in and potentially stolen a handful of materials or expensive tools.

While video surveillance can help, a well laid security plan can do much more.

Fencing

Fencing can help keep out any unwanted intruders and is an extra barrier for your unattended assets on the site. Depending on the type and quality of the temporary fencing will drastically affect the cost.

Lighting

Lighting on the construction project is important as it can illuminate the area. It can also work as a deterrence against potential thieves and criminals as they prefer to work in the darkness. The more light a project has, the better, as they do not want to risk being seen.

Live Video Monitoring

Live Video Monitoring is specifically designed to actively engage with criminal actors on your property, including the dispatch of local law enforcement agencies.

Having the right systems in place can protect you against construction site break-ins, vandalism, and other crimes, saving you time, money, and frustration.
