In the middle of the night, 2 men were seen carrying a mattress.

They struggled to carry the mattress across the street to the neighboring retail center.

Eventually, the two individuals disposed of the mattress and left it in the parking lot.

The 2 men then made their return home feeling accomplished and certain that they have avoided getting in trouble.

The very next day, the video evidence was requested, pulled, and given to law enforcement officers.

The illegal dumpers were identified and consequences was delivered.

If littering is bad, then illegal dumping is really bad.

Penalties under the Texas Litter Abatement Act, Health and Safety Code 365 range from $500 to $10000 in fines and/or 180 days to 2 years in state jail depending on the weight or volume of the illegally dumped materials.

Not only is it hazardous to the environment, but also has repercussions tied to your property values and financial costs to you as a tax payer.
