Unauthorized Activity on Large Construction Site

On December 20, 2021 at 22:31 The SentriForce monitoring center was alerted of unauthorized activity on a client’s construction job site. Far off in the distance was a male subject, observed in camera view walking on the restricted property. Even a trained surveillance monitor would have had trouble spotting the trespasser due to the distance and micro pixel changes, but with thermal imaging this trespasser is easily detected.

Monitoring personnel engaged audible alarms and bilingual voice-recording for security precautions, but the subject remained on site. The monitoring station proceeded to notify the construction project superintendent in regards to the unauthorized activity and dispatch Pasadena Police Department (PPD) to the location with a brief description of the subject.

Not long after PPD arrived on the construction property and thoroughly canvassed the area. PPD is later observed capturing the trespasser and escorting them to their vehicle.

It all starts with Trespassing

After hours when construction workers go home and the jobsite is unoccupied, the property becomes vulnerable to trespassing. Whether or not they have ill-intentions, it all starts with trespassing. Once a suspect is on the property, materials, tools, and heavy equipment is at risk to theft, tampering, or vandalism.

SentriForce surveillance systems are designed to deter trespassers using obvious signs of security presence, such as flashing red and blue strobe lights, warning banners, and being mounted on 15 ft poles.

As seen in this video and many other incidents, there are trespassers that will challenge the property even with security present.

This is why SentriForce surveillance systems utilize thermal technology for highly accurate intrusion detection and a multi-layer response to engage with potential threats for behavior modification.
